Summer holiday archery activity – balloon-popping fun for all who took part!

Saturday saw a bumper number of summer holiday archery activity sessions @ RFP – John, and Trev, along with Di, Rachael and Paul (Slick) worked together to get some big smiles and happy families taking part. Balloons were popping, and cheers and laughter filled the Archery range. The weather was beautiful, with warm sun and just a light breeze. The afternoon saw our largest group, and Slick was press-ganged into helping the coaches. He tried his hand at a bit of instructing (very successfully) and was a great help in being on the line with the activity archers. Rachael and Di kept the positive boost up, cheering on those archers who were a bit nervous and worried they wouldn’t be able to do Archery.

We also had a lovely older lady Spaniel, Kira – she sat in her doggy pushchair because she has hip dysplasia and watched with great interest. She came along because her mum and dad were doing the Archery activity, and she pines when they leave her behind. Mum and Dad turned out to be a natural talent at archery, with lots of competition ensuing! At the end of the session, everyone took away information on how to find a local club, and were thrilled to win lollypops for getting gold!

All in all, lots of happy people enjoyed Griffin Archery Experience. Trev, John, Rachel and Paul – well done, and thank you. Di

We are looking forward to our next summer holiday archery activity session.
