Griffin Archers Open Western Tournament.
Welcome to the Griffin Archers Open Western Tournament page – After the success of our 2nd Open Tournament in 2024, we are very happy to say that we are putting it on again in 2025. The date for your diary is 13th July 2025. We are hosting this event at our home range – Rockingham Forest Park.
The 2024 event, which ran in July, was a great success. We had a total to 14 bosses over a number of distances and almost 100% attendance. The weather on the day was excellent – with sunshine and a light breeze. All in all, it was a perfect day for archery!
We are really looking forward to hosting this event again in 2025, and welcoming archers from other clubs to come and shoot with us.
Our sincere hope is that this event becomes a permanent fixture on the archery calendar for many people. Our focus for this tournament,as in previous years, is to provide an entry-level event for both new and established archers.
The primary round is a Western (60 yards), with shorter distances for junior archers and novices to the sport.
We are very pleased to say that once again both Quicks Archery and Clickers Archery are sponsoring our event.
