Your Rockingham Forest Park Archery Activity

Your Rockingham Forest Park Archery activity is available on a Saturday from 10:30am (with other days available, dependent on coach availability). We have sessions in the morning, and in the afternoon after a short lunch break for the coaches.The last bookable start time being 3:30pm. Our session will run for a minimum of hands-on activity of 45 minutes.

We will then be able to discuss your archery journey and give you details on how to continue when you return home. We can take repeat bookings if you are returning to the park, with a view to progressing your archery or introducing more family and friends. Our aim is “fun”, our coaching Officer Robyn says ” If its not fun – why do it?” She’s been involved in archery for more than 20 years.

We will provide everything you need, and can also accommodate you if you are already an archer. Maybe you are more interested in technique improvement or performance training, rather than have an experience. Just ask when you fill in the form.

Griffin Archers is an Archery GB Affiliated Archery Club, and have our home base, range and an Archery Activity Centre right in the centre of Rockingham Forest Park. We are an active club and a part of local and Peterborough community activity. Working with Rockingham Forest Park, we aim to provide a unique opportunity for holiday residents to try archery with our Archery GB trained coaching team.

We pride ourselves on being welcoming, inclusive, accessible and enabling, believing that “everyone can do archery” and that “anyone can be an archer!” Why not come along to the Activity Centre and find out more? If the door is open, we are there and can provide details of how you can book. We have a QR code on our Centre door – you can scan and get booked from there. But as you are here, at our booking page…..why not make a booking with us for a Saturday (other days may be an option depending on coaching availability). Lets tell you about our coaching team, they all enjoy archery and have experience working with all ages from 10yrs – 80+yrs. All are trained and experienced in one-to-one and group coaching. We can work from introductions and safety explanations, to helping club members tweak their competition performance. We enjoy helping people get to experience hands-on archery, we can accommodate special needs and disabilities, and we ask that any specific requirements should be discussed during the booking.
