Monthly News bulletin

April 2024:

It’s outdoor season!! This month we are running the first round of our Club league – a Warwick round. Then it’s a Dartchery round for St. George on Sunday 21st. – a different event, but still fun for the members.

Our coaches will be busy this month – the plan is to get as many of our members up to their age-appropriate distances by June. No small task, but we believe in them!

Our weekday evening sessions restart this Tuesday (2nd April) – depending on the weather, of course!.

Griffin Archers are very much looking forward to the 2024 outdoor season. During this period we will be running our Founders Day shoot for club members (23rd June), and our 2nd Open Western Tournament (14th July) – we sincerely hope that we will see some of you there.

Members – bookings for Founders Day can be made on the range booking system, whilst you will need to utilise the entry form (link on the home page) for the tournament. More details can be obtained from Di.

Taster sessions and Beginner courses.

Our Sunday afternoon taster sessions are in full swing now. We are currently working through our waiting list, and are putting on extra sessions to catch up with demand. Please contact Di (using the link below) if you would like to be included in the list for our upcoming taster sessions.

Contact us here for more details on taster sessions.

2023 has shown itself as a roaring success! More of our members competed in external competitions, and have brought back a number of medals and trophies. We are looking forward to seeing more such achievements in 2024.

This is such great news, both for us as a club and for Archery as a sport. People are recognising the health benefits of archery, and the social aspects and personal challenges that it brings.

Can you help us?

Whilst we were very happy to join with Fenland Archery Club again this year, the club is still looking for a new suitable indoor venue. It needs to be a large hall with available storage. Do you have, or know, of a venue which we could hire for the indoor season starting in October 2024?
